NEW SUBDIVISION CONSTRUCTION:

·    Sumter Utilities works closely with the utility, developer and other site contractors to minimize construction delays and ensure the project is completed on-time. 

·    Our crews are capable of providing a turnkey project including installing services and setting meters.

·    Joint-trench is the future of the subdivision construction projects.  Sumter Utilities has successfully provided construction management services while installing electric, telephone and cable television systems. The completed project includes energizing all electrical systems and terminating and testing the telephone and cable television systems.  With the support of our sister Quanta companies, we can complete every project you have!

CABLE REPLACEMENT:

·    Our crews are can efficiently replace aging conductors with new ones.

·    We strive to complete all cable replacement with minimal consumer inconveniences such as outages, and property damage by maintaining close contact with all consumers.

·    The ability to complete cable replacement project on-time is our major objective, overshadowed only by the safety standards set for our employees and the public.

·    Our field employees are rewarded for their safety work methods though our Safety Incentive Program.

·    Sumter Utilities maintains one of the lowest Worker’s Comp Experience Modification Rates in the Southeast.

·    All trucks and equipment are standardized to project a professional graphic image to our customer, their consumers, and to the public.

·    Our complete, comprehensive equipment inventories include: hydraulic cranes; aerial bucket trucks; digger derricks and pressure diggers; all types conductor stringing equipment; excavation machinery including backhoes, dozers, loaders and trenchers.
