Sumter Utilities, Inc. is well-equipped
and staffed to undertake any of your high voltage substation
construction requirements. Sumter Utilities, Inc. has
been constructing and modifying substations for
approximately half of a century under the names of the two
companies that were merged in 2001 to form Sumter Utilities,
Inc. (Sumter Builders, Inc. and Utilities Construction
Company of South Carolina, Inc.) and under the name of
Sumter Utilities, Inc. itself. Sumter Utilities, Inc.
has a great deal of experience in constructing and modifying
high voltage substations, both transmission substations and
distribution substations, through 230kv. Quanta
Services, Inc., our parent company, provides Sumter
Utilities, Inc. with complete EPC capability. |

Sumter Utilities, Inc is available to respond at any
time for emergency storm restoration. We are capable of
mobilizing immediately with a modern, well maintained
fleet that includes distribution and transmission
equipment and a well trained experienced work force. We
also have specialty equipment that includes flex track
mounted digger derricks and buckets for both
distribution and transmission applications. |

Sumter Utilities is currently constructing a 3.5
Megawatt Solar system in central North Carolina for a
local utility owner. The system utilizes Photovoltaic
modules and a solar tracking system to optimize output
performance. For this project, Sumter Utilities is
working with other Quanta companies and local
contractors to provide a complete project including
property grading and dirt work, material procurement,
module and tracker installation, testing and inspection.
Quality control inspections are made weekly by
experienced personnel as stages of the construction
progress and any discrepancies are corrected immediately
to minimize end of the job punch lists. With a dedicated
Solar workforce, Sumter Utilities will become the
southeast leader for renewable energy projects. |
